Various notices regarding the virus situation

I would like to start as normal by saying good evening everyone, but I'm sure we've all had better evenings than this. So instead I say the peace of Christ be with you all.

As everyone most likely knows by now Bishop Berg has ordered all public masses be cancelled. We were hoping to be able to keep the Church open for people to come pray but the Diocese has also requested that the Church remain locked for the time being.
Basically all normal gatherings and events have been cancelled, Communion Services, Men's Group, Contemplative Prayer are all suspended.
St. Mary's Garage is closed but will try to meet an urgent need by calling 970 318 6826.
Gunnison County is doing a great job of assisting our community with this situation. Please refer to the Gunnison County website for all information, updates and assistance about the coronavirus –

Follow all guidelines to keep safe and receive help if needed.
A statement from the Diocese on the cancellation of Masses is available here:
Attached is a couple documents on the Public Health Order and an update from the County
A Google document created by the county with the latest statistics on local infections and testing can be seen here:
Personally I have been and will continue to be praying about the situation and that everyone in our Parish will stay healthy and safe during this unprecedented and distressing time. A favorite quote from Padre Pio comes to mind, "Pray, Hope, and don't worry".
A note from the

statement from the Diocese:

"During this time of the global pandemic, let us continue to remain in prayer and solidarity as we pray for the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus to watch over the Diocese of Pueblo, grant wisdom to the medical and scientific community, and for a quick resolution to this global health crises."
God Bless,
Mike
